To me, of course, English relative clauses are nicer.
"the book that I bought earlier"
compared to the Japanese way which would be
"I bought earlier book"
One reason why I prefer the English way is you can add on easier;
"the book that I bought earlier and couldn't understand"
To add more you keep the first verb in the plain past tense and add "and" plus another verb in the plain past.
However with Japanese you could't just add in the middle of the sentece.
You would have to change the first verb into te form and then add a second verb, then the noun.
これは私が先に買って分かられないでした本です。
Another reason why I don't like it is its harder for me to read as a beginner.
I think Japanese people can use it fine thougth. I will just have to struggle.

私は今日の日本語のクラスになにも習ませんでした。でも日本語が難しいことが習うました。
I don't think that was right at all. It's also not true. I did learn that you can't say "I am coming" by saying ”私は来ています”. I asked my teacher how would you say it but she said it would be too long. ugh. So even though the te form plus iru means continously you can't use it for the verb to die like "my mother is dying" because it would mean she is already dead. I'm probably going to have many problems with this.

So I bought "Akira Club" the other day because I am a fan of both the movie and the manga. The story of Akira is probably one of the first biggest anime hits in America so it is pretty popular. But whats is so great about it besides it interesting sci fi story is its art. Otomo Katsuhiro/大友克洋 is such a talented artist of both the human body and of background which is hard to find in manga. (most manga tend to focus more on people than the background unlike american comicbooks). The story of Akira takes place in a large city that is almost completey torn down which makes for even more detail being pulled off. And the machines! Where would a futuristic sci fi story be without massive technology!.
Anyway, his art is great but I can't afford to own the whole colletion of volumes so I bought the "artbook" which includes just about all the cover, color, and highly detailed pages. It also includes pages that were left on the cutting room floor which in my opinion are just as good.
It even includes a questionaire for the artist but none of the questions have to do with his art.

Today Japanese class was long. I've been not turing in homework for both Japanese and Chinese for a while now. I do well on the tests though. I don't know if that is enough...
I got a B on my sketch book and the instructer didn't think I finished most of my work in my portfolio, so I might just have to drop art. I hate art because it is three hours of beginning art. Not to brag but I am not a beginner. I've been drawing for too long to be a beinginner.
So in all I'm good at my classes but because of homework I might be failing them. How frusterating is that? Whats worse is that I used this year of college to do fun classes in contrast to high school. But next year I'm going to have to take math and science, subjects I'm not good at. So it will even more of a struggle.
I should of taken classes more seriously from the beginning, buts that's every freshman mistake right?
